Where Have I Been?

Last year in January 2013 I went to a cultural place called Bali. I went there with my Parents. We got the chance to stay in a five star hotel called KARMA JIMBARAN for 11 days.

A HUGE statue towering over the traffic, illustrating some scene or the other from the Ramayana.(Statue at intersection : Ravana challenging Rama while standing on the heads of terrified horses)

Tours

We went on a boat to look at the the exotic creatures in the sea while we were zooming to turtle island. We arrived at turtle island it was quite exciting to see native animals from  Bali. A man was talking about the tortoises,he said that  some of these turtles in the picture weigh about 110 to180kg.My dad carried one of the turtles that weighed about 150kg, I tried to weigh the 80kg one but that was too heavy for me.So my dad helped me carried the largest turtle in the island(It was mostly my dad) that weighed about 200kg.

There weren't just turtles there were more Bali creatures as well .We took a picture with a yellow snake.I noticed that there was see through sticky tape around his mouth so I asked the girl that took care of the snake. She said that they do that because they don't want anybody to get bitten!!!

My favourite animal was the The Bali Starling (bird) with it's blue lining across its face and with its adorable white feathers.I don't know what the bird is called but it was a bird with a large beak and circled eyes with black feathers. If you know what it is please comment.Lots of birds lived there. So if you do go to Bali go there to learn new facts, and you get to feel about every single animal that is there.

One of my most fun memories was that I got to go underwater with those old fashion helmets then I fed these colourful fishes that the people that ran the tour took many pictures so my family and I can enjoy them when we go home.

Another great highlight of the trip  was the Bali Zoo where we were allowed into the actual zoo to go on safari with the animals. We went on the SAFARI so we could feed the animals. I felt their puffy snout filled with hot air. We drove to see the lions but it was too hot and they decided to go to sleep on the rocks instead of greeting us. I took a photo of a mackaw, they were really big I was scared that they would just get my bag and fly away.
Now, my favourite safari animal of all time is the white tiger with it's beautiful striped furrrrrrrr. Have you ever seen one write in the comments when you seen one or how you saw one.example: zoo wildlife park or even in the wildlife
I was so excited when I took a picture with the baby lion cub it was so cute and it was listening to the camera boys when I was there before he was just closing his eyes and moving around. She was so soft to cuddle i could just adopt her.

My parents decided to take a photo with a baby orangutan. The baby was hugging my parents and kissing them and RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE WHERE I BELONG. At the end I was kind of upset I poked my tongue at the orangutan and it turned around when we left it went bonkers with out us.

On another day we went to 1 temple the Bali people were kind enough to let us in,the only rule was to wear a cloth around you to hide your skin and that (I told you it was cultural). They warned us about the thief-stealing monkeys (oh! did I mention it was a monkey temple). So I had to put my ruby necklace in my mum's handmade bag from Bali. There was a monkey crime that day a large male monkey stole a nice channel bag from a Chinese woman. Many believed the village people trained the monkeys to steal shiny or nice things, but I don't know what to believe in these days like is Santa real or not (comment if you believe he is real or not). I believe that its not really the poor animals fault after all we were in THEIR habitat.Well comment on what you think about this monkey business.

On the last night we ate some great chinese food which is my dad's favourite food. After we ate at the  resturant we had to walk to a dark alley it freaked me out somebody could easily jump out with a knife. I believed who was the most scared was my dad he was worried about us.There were stray dogs I kind of felt sorry for them poor animals but also in the other hand it's like don't make that puppy upset! Then we asked a fellow person where were the directions to our hotel.

But this whole trip was about "Don't judge a book by it's cover!"  just because you heard somthing bad about a place dosen't mean there is good points of views as well it's life's creation and you know what BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE.

My parents & I loved Bali. I had a great time watching them  as they bargained for their purchases to buy presents and clothes but for me i think it was one of those places you have be be careful but most of all enjoy the relaxation there.
